Debate over internet censorship coming? |
|
Edited on Mon Aug-22-05 01:09 PM by TheFarseer
Last night I was listening to Drudge (don't ask why, I'm sick. I'm sick and I need help) and he was talking about the need for internet censorship. He sighted sites/blogs where they had posted people being viciously beaten and noted that the UK had already passed a ban on violent sex being posted on the internet. How long before violence inducing political speech is banned? Then planning political rallies that could *potentially* turn violent is banned? Then opinions that dissent from the government are banned? It's a slippery slope folks.
Remember when Drudge was totally against internet censorship and totally against the patriot act? What the hell happened to this guy? He's nothing more than the minister of propaganda now.

The "blogosphere" and/or censorship-free internet isn't going to last until 2008.
