think the so called *patriot act* will get repealed or re-written by this |
|
congress? me, since i don't give it much of a chance, even though it's the most egregious taking of our civil liberties since the constitution was passed, i don't think any of them have the guts to withstand and fight back the inevitable false charges of weakening security that would be thrown their way.

5. What does "... they're really out tonight ..." mean? |
|
The so-called "Patriot" Act should be repealed.

6. So that makes it okay to claim that our people are gutless... |
|
...based on something they may or may not do at some unspecified point in the future?
Just want to clear that up.
:eyes:
So how many times did you call your Reps this week to demand the unPATRIOTic Act be repealed?

9. Good for you! And I mean that sincerely... |
|
...but you gotta call the fascists too. They need to see us in their rearview mirrors, even if it only compels them cover their own criminal butts.

10. i have let my congress critters know that repeal of the patriot act is an |
|
issue very dear to me. i've also let them know that the elections weren't non-binding but that if they keep dicking around on the escalation issue perhaps the next ones should be. Rep DeFazio i'm pretty sure hears me. Sen Wyden maybe. Sen Smith does if he happens to be looking at a poll at the same time. how about you, oh holier and and able to cast judgement on me? how often are in contact with your elected officials? how much time do you spend on issues each week?

I don't think it will be repealed or rewritten, although that should (arguably) be the first order of business.
