I'm guessing the "sources" are correct and Richardson is denying it until he officially announces it tomorrow.

every campaign has staff that is more concerned with their employment prospects that the political aspirations of their candidate. This is probably one of those cases where some in his campaign see the writing on the wall and want to torpedo his campaign so they can start looking for new jobs.
