Palmieri says Edwards-Clinton the same |
|
One of Edwards' campaign strategist says Edwards and Clinton have the same policies for the poor. She says the anti-establishment people would like Obama.
I think people are believing their own campaign hype is what I think. Edwards and Clinton do not remotely have the same idea for the poor, I think Mudcat clearly gets that.

Poor are voting Clinton/Edwards, and Obama is getting the rich and elite... I wonder if you think they are just voting against their own interests for the fun of it? There couldn't be an underlying cause that we might be refusing to see...

8. funny - I see Clinton getting rich & elite as well as Obama. Why do the poor vote |
|
against their interests? Because MSM presents what suits its corporate masters so they can "sell" the candidate of their choice.
Any other questions?

If Edwards were winning, he'd have gotten those millions too. What do you think would happen financially if Edwards were the Democratic nominee?

6. Edwards apologized for his support of the resolution which gave |
|
Bush the authority to launch a preemptive war. He referred to his vote as a BIG MISTAKE.
Hillary refuses to apologize for that vote to this day.
To me, that is a HUGE difference.

He seems to back tax cuts instead of aid to help the poor... and it doesn't have the alternative energy stuff that Endwards & Clinton do.

|
That's what he supported. The alternative energy plans are in his economic package because a stimulus is immediate and completely different than long term energy projects. "long-term energy projects"... I don't like that. Why would it take more than 30 days to get it off the ground?

23. The point is whether it's immediate stimulus |
|
Long term projcts don't provide immediate stimulus. They're also the kind of thing that are likely to end up being give-aways to friendly corporations, as opposed to a true energy strategy. I don't think it's the kind of thing one would vote no on, but I see why it isn't part of a stimulus package proposal.

I still don't see why these projects can't be started in 30 days.

21. Obama's been working on poverty and civil rights for the last twenty-five years. |
|
His politics are clearly staked in that ground. It is incorrect to say that there is no difference between Hillary's and Obama's position on poverty: Obama's stake is personal.
“I'm in this race for the same reason that I fought for jobs for the jobless and hope for the hopeless on the streets of Chicago; for the same reason I fought for justice and equality as a civil rights lawyer; for the same reason that I fought for Illinois families for over a decade… That's why I'm running, Democrats — to keep the American Dream alive for those who still hunger for opportunity, who still thirst for equality.”
