The polls are trending towards Kerry--Rasmussen Kerry 47-45 |
|
Add this to the last LA Times and CBS poll and you can see things are trending Kerry's way. http://www.rasmussenreports.com/index.htm

1. who are the 45% that still think shrub is doing a good job? |
|
shrub has inherited the greatest military force in human history and has made erroneous decisions that have increased terrorism, not decreased it.

2. Seems catch phrase "smaller gov to get smaller deficit" still works |
|
Edited on Mon Apr-05-04 11:26 AM by papau
* By a 52% to 39% margin, American voters say that balancing the budget is more important than cutting taxes.
* By an even larger margin, 55% to 38%, voters also say that cutting government spending is more important than balancing the budget.
* Most dramatically, 64% of American voters say that they would prefer a federal budget that has a deficit at lower levels of taxes and spending rather than a balanced budget with higher levels of taxes and spending. Given this choice, just 25% opt for the balanced budget
SEEMS FOLKS ARE IN FAVOR OF APPLE PIE - CUTTING GOV IF POSSIBLE. NOT REALLY NEWS AS DEM AND GOP USUALLY DO NOT FAVOR HUGE GOVERNMENT, BUT THIS WILL BE SPUN INTO A FEW GOP SLOGANS

3. The Iraq events are distracting from Bush's efforts to "define" Kerry. |
|
The logic that crisis in Iraq may help Bush may yet prove wrong. If Bush can be kept in the shadows, it is helpful. An eventful campaign season in the news realm may aid Kerry.

4. Yeah, I keep hearing the apologists saying "But the media doesn't report |
|
the 'good news'!"
I don't see the headlines either:
100,000 US soldiers didn't die in Iraq today.
99,996 US soldiers didn't die in Iraq today.
99,990 US soldiers didn't die in Iraq today.
99,975 US soldiers didn't die in Iraq today.
238 Iraqi schools were not bombed today.
235 Iraqi schools were not bombed today.
It wouldn't be so bad if it really were just numbers.
