Doesn't miss much. If he kills anyone in defense of President Obama, then it would probably mean a reduction in FreeRepublic membership.

but no more than that. Those guys don't spray automatic weapons fire around. They're better than that.

8. They'll have their work cut out for them, for sure. |
|
I read a story this morning that reported that the nutjobs in Texas wiped out nearly all remaining inventory on assault rifles. Not saying they all want to harm Obama, but I'd bet a few of them might.

I hate to steer business to Chuck Norris... but damn...
On the other hand, maybe this will inspire Americans to make use of their gym memberships. I have a million and one excuses to not go to the gym, but if Obama can make time, anyone can.

|
It's a sad commentary of where our country has gone. Add that if I saw that picture with Bush's name in place of Obama's, I'd instantly feel some kind of revulsion toward the guy holding the gun and the don't fuck with me look on his face.

outside of embassies. I was surprised that these two western European capitals were so openly armed to the teeth, but I guess they're not taking any chances, esp. Spain after its terrorist attack at the train station...

24. I HATE that it's come to this though! I remember the days of |
|
Truman & JFK who both used to just take a walk down the street ALONE. JFK used to sneak out of the WH at night for alone time strolls. NOW no president can even speak somewhere without bullet proof shields, vests, and armed guards around him. Our culture HAS crashed, but not the way the fundies say. I don't think it has anything to do with religion, abortion, gay marriage, or any of THEIR hot button ideas. Something has happened to a LOT of people in this world that they now seem to think the answer to anyone or anything they disagree with is VIOLENCE! Unfortunately, I can't imagine civilization to ever return.

at what this world calls entertainment... the glorified violence in the films, media, so called reality TV and video games...
it's a no brainer how we got here...
and I hope that all of us calling on our better angels... as Barack has asked us to do...
may make a huge shift from violence that sells... --to inspiration, hope, achievement taking center stage.

and rom History; it was the assassination of JFK that changed all of that, also the attempt on Ron Reagan's life too.
I'm excited to see him being protected like that, I have no problem with that.
People have become too vicious, they can be easily led by folks on the media, Rush, Hannity, O'Reilly and Joe Scarbrough, this is why it is important to silence these assholes spewing vile 24/7, as long they are there we will forever have secret service protecting our investment.

..... under the White House until inauguration day? Or the third floor maybe? There's plenty of room.
I bet the Secret Service is counting down the days even more than we are.
And how much would it suck to be the Obama's neighbors?
