Unless you live in New York |
|
You have no say in who gets the senate seat. It isn't owed to you. You don't deserve it. You're welcome to your opinion - but it's irrelevant.
:)
How's that?

After all, you can express your feelings to the governor as a voter.

I would give my eye teeth to get the hell out of Flordia and go HOME. I WILL return.
My Dad used to say, "You can take the boy out of New York, but you will never take New York out of the boy". True.

Did you say the same thing when the DLC forced the current non-resident of New York into this very Senate seat?

lives in New York. They don't have a say either..but my sister and her family are thrilled that Caroline Kennedy might be there Senator. Although some family members have met her. I suppose that might make a difference to a New Yorker?

20. Seriously, who doesn't complain about another state's senators? |
|
Senators don't vote on state issues. They take federal money for pork projects though.

I'm guessing YOU have no say in it, and you are a resident.
And I'm certain there are persons who live outside the state who do have a say in the process.
Having a say is not bound by geography, it's bound by influence, and influence doesn't know where the state lines are located.
The reality is that almost all persons in or out of the state have no say, and that includes the New Yorkers here. Unless the Governor values your opinion, you have no say.
It's up to the governor, and he will choose who influences him and who doesn't. Certainly, he values the opinion of Obama and many others who are not New Yorkers, and it's a safe bet that Obama has much more say than anyone here does over the pick.
You WISH that only New Yorkers had a say.
