Anyone else wish Vilsack would run for a third term? |
|
I do -- I like Mike Gronstal, but I don't think he has a chance to beat the Republican machine. Vilsack's still very popular here, and that probably won't change in the next couple years. If Vilsack ran for a third term, he'd be a shoo-in.
While I don't think Vilsack has much of a chance for the Democratic nomination for President, his chances (and momentum) would improve if he did win a third term -- it'd solidify him, in a sense.
And if he doesn't run for President (or even if he does and fails), Grassley's term in the Senate will be up in 2010, and if Grassley runs again Vilsack could post a strong moderate challenge against him. And if Grassley doesn't run again due to age, Vilsack could win that seat in a landslide.

He's no fire-breather, but he can get the job done. I wish he'd stay.

3. It will be interesting |

It is all his fault that things are so "bad" according to Iverson and his Gilligans so what is going to happen after they are in charge? I know they will blame all future cuts in services on him but once we wake up from the nightmare they will have driven us into the ground financially then we really will be screwed, blued, and tatooed. The republican way...Cut taxes raise fees!
