DU's Worst Person in Minnesota List for 2007 |
|
Since everyone else seems to be doing it, why not DU? Who do YOU think should top the Worst Person(s) in Minnesota list for 2007--the person you'd most like to deport from our fair state?
To start the ball rolling, I'll nominate (not surprisingly):
6th District Nonrepresentative Michele Bachmann
Why? Just check the DU-Minnesota posts on her over the past year, or cruise over to www.dumpbachmann.com. For starters, voting against health care for kids, the 35W bridge, Northstar, students, seniors, veterans, soldiers, renewable energy; for embarrassing our state at the State of the Union address with her horny teenager pawing of Bush, her fabrication of a secret terrorists' plan to divide up Iraq, and her continued fawning over Bush after the bridge collapse; and for being the most nonresponsive congressional "representative" Minnesota has ever seen.
Next up...

1. All other nominees will pale in comparison... |
|
but I'll submit Lt. Gov Carol Molnau for not giving two shits about her "real" job running MnDOT. From the bridge tragedy to a building that's literally falling apart, Molnau has not only personally overseen Minnesota's descent into transportation chaos, she can't even seem to be bothered to care.

3. I nominate Timmy the Tool Pawlenty... |
|
He may not appear as bad as Bachmann ideologically, but he is probably the most dangerous politician in Minnesota because he comes across as a nice guy while he constantly screws the state over. He is able to fool a lot of people with his charm, and that makes him far more dangerous than he would be if his wingnut ideas were readily apparent to everyone.

I've been debating who to name, but I'm now inclined to agree with you and 2nd your nomination of Pawlenty.
And, I'd also like to add John Kline for an (dis)honorable mention.

5. I'll give a nod to Mrs. Marcus Bachmann, too. |
|
And I'd like to give Honorable Mention status to everyone who voted for her.
