Astrological Predictions That Don't Fit |
|
I am always puzzled by astrological predictions that don't seem to have anything to do with me. I realize sun sign readings are very general but even the ones based on actual birth day, time and place seem to be "off" more often than not. Things that are supposed to happen, descriptions of moods I am supposed to experience under certain aspects and warnings of upcoming events all rarely occur. I also find that personality profile also seem like descriptions of someone else. Any explanations?

1. Are you talking about sun sign predictions only? |
|
Sun sign horoscopes are written as though your sun sign is also your rising sign. This means that predictions are based on aspects to the sun and the assumption the sun is in your first house. Most people have different sun and rising signs. Have you tried astro.com? How do you feel about what it says about your personality profile?

I would say the "predictor" is not thorough enough. Reading charts is very very difficult. Some charts are harder to read than others. Many times what seems to be a strong thread of personality description in a chart is suppressed by some other factor. The truth is there, look to other astrologers, it will reveal itself. My 2 cents.

3. I find that reading for my rising instead of my sun sign produces |

better results.
You don't say which astrological sites you frequent but they are not all written with equal merit or skill.

4. Mine always seem to be two weeks behind |

If that makes sense. While it is not a big problem for long term outlooks for the day to day I have decided to stick with the IChing.

Some times my rising sign seems a little closer, though in a very vague sort of way. To junofeb's question, I get most of my readings from Astrodienst. Their readings BTW seem to me at least to be usually more dire than Jonathan Cainer's. Wonder if the tone of interpretive readings influences whether one accepts or doesn't accept a reading?
