after 42 years of smoking. Since then I have lost over 30 lbs and today I ran 3 miles, 12 laps on the track, in 33 minutes a new personal best. I have now been running for 2 months. My once high blood pressure is now 115/65. One year ago I never thought any of this would be possible.
I still chew nicotine gum. I'm not perfect.

It may help to keep me from smoking again. It may help others who read it, too.
I have not yet lost the weight I gained from having my thyroid destroyed and from quitting smoking. But I will. Running sounds like a good way to take off the weight.
