Should we be worried about Jeb Bush? |
|
He is very popular in the Republican Party, and after two disastrous Bush Presidencies, it doesn't strike me as far-fetched that the GOP will go with yet another Bush.

most of the Bush disasters are far enough back in history that people will forget just how bad it was. I'm glad the media plays some Shrub clips every now & then. Even I forgot how awful he sounded and how damn stupid his speaking was. I love the part of the ad for The Nation magazine that says "Brains are back in the White House.

4. Right, he doesn't want to run against a successful Democrat |
|
He wants to run against a Democrat with a history of failures he can run against. He can't do that with Obama, not the way Obama is going now.
I don't see him running until 2016 and perhaps not even then.
He'll be too damn old in 2020.

Slippery Jeb would be an awful trick to play on America. I'm hoping there's a skeleton that he can't hide which will keep him away from the WH.

He would need to create an image that makes him more intune with the far right to get the nomination. HE would be formidible if nominated, but I don't think he could win nomination right now.

While it's possible that the r'Thugs™ would be stupid enough to nominate him, I doubt the country would fall for it. Currently, the Bush name has the attractiveness of a bucket of fresh baboon shit.

He got too dirty to run, imho, which is why the torture president was pulled out of his bottle. But now in comparison, Jeb looks good.
His wife is a Latina, though. That might not work for the haters.

W was the moderate "compassionate conservative" that was too little known to be considered dangerous.
If THAT wasn't lesson enough, I don't know what is. Jeb should not be counted out. Why? Because look at their alternatives. Either crazier than loons or more boring than a six hour video of John McCain speeches. By 2012, the Republicans will be so desperate for a candidate that has not been making a fool of him/herself that they might well turn to JEB for the sole reason that he has been keeping himself out of the public eye.

are stupid enough to elect him. For some reason a lot of idiots love the Bushs and their failures. I heard someone in the barber shop yesterday saying we wouldn't be in this mess if Bush was still President. I had to tell him Bush created this mess and if he were still in office we would have totally collapsed by now. He disagreed and I told him I hoped his dick was longer than his memory. The entire shop cracked up.

That is how the Bushs' work. Before Reagan I never heard of a Bush, I thought he was nothing to worry about. They operate secretly when they cannot be in power and there are lots of them. Read The Family. Into everything all of them.

Jebbie is doing quite nicely right now...out of the limelight and making lots of money. I don't see him with the ego of his idiot brother nor the motivation right now. The rushpublicans are a disorganized mess and things are sure to get worse as the party continues off the far right abyss. He definitely manipulates behind the scenes and if he is to re-emerge it will be 2016 at the earliest.

32. I don't think I'll worry about another bush pResidency |
|
We have the internet now and with it comes lots of information and a lot more people are reading about the bush dynasty and not one of those readers are happy with what they're reading. bushco is done for as far as being a power like they had envisioned. Remember when poppy broke down and started crying soon after idiot son was installed, poppy was talking about all the negative press jr was getting but the reason he broke down and cried was because during that speech he realized his grand scam was over, done in by none other that his namesake, his spawn, his worthless for all intents and purposes, son. There won't be any more bush family in the white house. If there was it would be because of the those who count the votes cast.

33. The GOP is in such a muddle right now that just about anybody |
|
looks good to THEM. Jeb never ever looked good to US. So I'm hoping he is carted away on a camel caravan and left in a remote desert venue, and soon. He certainly sucked as Governor of Florida and he would suck even more as President.
On the other hand, Romney cash and ambition may not be enough to secure him the nomination. Huckabee can turn on that Sunday school preacher charm but he's behaving like he doesn't really want the nomination that badly. The second-tier candidates are lackluster, unaccomplished, or morally askew, or all three. Haley Barbour is actually a competitive presidential candidate for the GOP in a field with very little competition. Which is not a good sign for the Republicans. Pretty good indicator for us, though.
This voter has endured the ordeal of two Bushes in the White House and as I count it, that's two Bushes too many. 'None' would have been exactly right. 'Two' is two over the tolerable limit.
