Should we start calling the people who say there is no civil war in Iraq "Civil War Deniers"? |
|
The image evokes those idiotic Holocaust Deniers and Flat Earthers.
It's painfully obvious, but the Civil War Deniers just want to stick their fingers and their ears and say "They're making progress, there is no civil war, there is no civil war, there is no civil war!"
There's no way around it, they're denying reality, they're Civil War Deniers and should be called just that.

1. That would risk alienating certain Southerners who still insist |
|
that the American civil war wasn't fought over slavery.....

2. Yes. And only refer to it as the civil war or the occupation. We must ALL start using these |
|
terms in our everyday language.

3. Iraq has been in Civil War since early 2006 and everyone in DC knows it. |

That is what compelled the Iraq withdrawal vote in June 2006 and unfortunately, too many Democrats joined with the GOPs in denying the reality of civil war, fully aware that by accepting the reality they know the IWR was already obsolete since the IWR had no mission in it for dealing with civil war.
