Bush Vows to Stay on Offensive Against Al Qaeda

QUANTICO, Va. (Reuters) - President Bush, the day before marking the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, said on Wednesday al Qaeda "still plots against our people" and will be hunted down and defeated.

"The forces of global terror cannot be appeased, and they can't be ignored. They must be hunted, they must be found and they will be defeated," Bush said in a speech at an FBI laboratory, the same day a new al Qaeda audiotape promised more attacks on U.S. targets.

Bush did not refer to the new al Qaeda message, purported to be from Osama bin Laden and his deputy, Ayman al-Zawahri, and he told reporters before delivering his remarks that he had not yet heard the audiotape.

Oh, but sir, you are OFFENSIVE!
