I can't imagine a worse way to go.
My research partner here at school has a boyfriend over there right now. He joined an engineering guard unit to help pay for school and because he wanted to be a civil engineer. He thought he'd help rebuild bridges for people after a tornado had gone through or something like that. He was supposed to come home next month, but now it's not going to be until next May. I can't imagine what kind of hell the families of our troops are being put through right now.
