People who are not paying attention (MOST CALIFORNIANS) will not even bother to vote, but the "republican base" WILL turn out, because they see California "in play".. If they can start whittling away at the democratic lead in the statehouse, and in congress, they can have the keys to the kingdom forever..

Most people do not really care about who their congressperson is, or how the teachers' pensioons are handled..
