53. Don't rule Condi out in the south!
Lurleen Burns was working in a dimestore in Tuscaloosa when she met and married her husband at the age of sixteen. She worked as a housewife and mother until being elected governor by the people of Alabama in 1966.

Her husband, an guy you may have heard of named George Wallace, ran her for governor because he was term-limited and his bid to get the Alabama Constitution changed had failed. It was openly admitted by the couple that he would run things if she was elected. In fact, he tried to issue an executive order the day after her inauguration, but this action was challenged in court, and he had to back off.

Southerners who support Bush will understand that Condi is a figurehead and that Bush/Cheney will be pulling the strings. And after being called racists for decades by the rest of the nation, they will not be able to resist the allure of calling everyone else racist for opposing Condi.
