3. Try long distance blocking

First time a "dialer" appeared on my 'puter

- I immediately disconnected, and waited till I had long distance blocking on my 'puter phone line

- I have a seperate line just for the puter (dial-up - gonna stick with dial-up, altho slow, it takes too long for someone to get "in" to my puter - hackers love high-speed)

Almost all my friends on-line with high speed have had problems with viruses, etc. - I haven't - and I DO use IE (5.5)- but pay carefull attention to updates and security flaws

- so I be dial-up(slow) and on a phone line that CANNOT make a long distance call - besides the other obvious advantages, I will pay the extra 25 bucks a month for peace of mind and convenience
