7. Leno still provided "the bully pulpit" to launch the candidacy of
Schwartenegger and re-appeared after the election.

If he were not partisan, any and every candidate for governor, including Grey Davis would have been given the platform, and the hype by Leno's largess.

Trying to separate Schwartenegger and Leno is like trying to unscramble eggs. Schwartenegger won with the benefit of his celebrity and Jay Leno (and Entertainment Tonight, among other shows) were assisting all the way.
