78. As much as I despise the piece of shit (and everyone in his cabal of evil)
he is probably right. There are plenty of people on the left as well as the wrong ("right") who have admitted the liklihood of some kind of further 'terrorist' attack. Gary Hart has made that claim and he's no wingnut.

Now, whether or not it would occur via LIHOP, MIHOP or simply "out of the blue" probably wouldn't matter (unless one of the first 2 scenarios could be proven) - the upshot is of course what ultimately matters, and I cannot predict what it would be. Many people would 'blame' Shrubco in any case for not preventing it. Given the short shrift given to "homeland security" (what a fukin' joke) it could be a logical conclusion, depending on the nature of the incident.

Few people on the planet are ignorant of how vulnerable our ports and adjacent cities are. Millions of containers arrive every year, a tiny percentage are examined. The border with Canada is over 4000 miles long and impossible to monitor...the southern one is almost as porous in many places and of course there are people ALREADY here who are potential
perpetrators.

But of course it could have a galvanizing effect on Shrub's pResidency. He can say "we told you so." How much the ultimate failure to derail the plot will negatively affect him is a future I can't predict.

Chimpy said "I have no idea" the other day; a moment of rare if unintentional candor. At this point I can only say "neither do I"
