12. Kerry is not for a more aggressive stance and he was
among the first to talk about Roberts. Kerry is not far from Kennedy of Feingold - Kennedy said in January on MTP that a withdrawal date should be set. On MTP, Kerry described his plan detailing steps needed to resolve things and get out. Both Kennedy and Kerry took great pains to say that their positions were very close - differing on whether you publicize a date. Feingold says to set a date - he suggested Dec, 2006, but said we should not leave until certain political steps were finished. His plan would seem to be between Kennedy and Kerry's.

All three want:
- To get out
- To not leave chaos and a haven for terrorism
- Have no long term goal of bases or empire

In Biden's speech yesterday, although he blasted Bush on the situation in Iraq, he spoke positively of Bush's goals (from his innaugeral address) to "reform" the governments in other countries.
