17. Here's Some News
This story was dated 5/19/03, and was found in Middle East Newsline.

"Iran and Saudi Arabia are said to have agreed to finance an
ambitious program to modernize Syria's military."

And guess who is going to help the Iranians and Saudis with the modernization. None other then Shrub's pal Vladimir Putin, or more
correctly the Russian Federation.

They will upgrade land-based systems of the Syrian military, as well
as finance advanced Russian anti-aircraft systems.

"Since 1997, the regime of President Bashar Asad has pressed Saudi Arabia for financial aid to modernize Syria's military. But for most of that time Riyad, plagued by a severe budget shortfall, refused to commit it self."

"Russian sources said Saudi Arabia changed its tune earlier this year. They said Iran and Saudi Arabia discussed a joint investment to help Syria purchase Russian upgrades and new equipment."

So if true when did Saudi Arabia change its mind, and how much has been done. Kuwait just announced that OPEC was cutting production of oil by 900,000 barrels per day beginning November 1st.

A good way to increase funding, also a group of Saudi officials have recently met with members of the Russian government, none of the Saudi officials were members of the pro-Western clique.

So for blackjack, you better start to deal with reality, and do your research before you make arbitrary statements.
