Three US soldiers killed in Iraq


US military denies helicopter gunship killed two Iraqi children
during attack on insurgents near Mandali.

BAGHDAD - Three more US soldiers have been killed in separate
attacks in Iraq, the military reported on Wednesday.

A roadside bomb killed two soldiers southeast of Baghdad on
Tuesday while another was shot dead in the restive Diyala
province northeast of the Iraqi capital. Four other soldiers
were wounded in the Diyala incident.

Meanwhile, the US military on Wednesday denied reports that a
helicopter gunship fired on a primary school north of Baghdad but
confirmed at least two children were killed in an attack on insurgent
bombers.
