that the difference is that dems generally cater to the nice 1/2 of the 1/2 of people who care to vote

reps cater to the mean 1/2 of the 1/2 of the people who care to vote

bright people vote for the candidate who most represents their views

dems and reps have found out how to control the voting public - cater to each side who actually believe there isn't one giant ugly head called government

hence you have the government you asked for - one that has you all by the toe and keeps making you think you have won something...
