Officials deny air marshal cuts

WASHINGTON — Department of Homeland Security officials denied Wednesday that there were any plans to cut back on in-flight air marshals and sought to defuse sharp criticism by promising new money for the security program.

Strange. MSNBC is claiming credit for first reporting and then causing the reversal of the Homeland Security Office's decision to remove the air marshalls. Now the HSO says the decision to remove the marshals in the first place had never been made.

MSNBC (an incessant Bush "horn-blower") v. the Bushies: never thought I'd see the day.
