11. Easy there...

I was making reference to the well known fact that many States were coerced into joining the coalition by the promise of financial incentives from the United States. Participating states would get preferential foreign aid, as well as first bids on the sure to be lucrative contracts coming out of the democratised Iraq.

Would have been foolish to imply that Ukraine's forces were being paid for by US. It doesn't work that way. But if you don't think there are healthey subsidies and back channel cash flows in effect, you are mistaken.

Spain's public never approved involvement either, but the Spanish troops are there. Ukraine different somehow? please advise.

BTW, I will make whatever comments I please within the rules and standards of this forum. I welcome you to challenge those comments but don't tell me not to make them. If it is the tone that offended you, my regrets.

I feel that part of Ukraine's reason for the desicion to send troops to Iraq goes back to the the sale of anti-aircraft radar systems to Saddam a couple of years ago, for which they took alot of heat.
