I suggested that being a self described Catholic while willfully disobeying the edicts of the Pope is as hypocritical as being a self described Nazi and willfully disobeying the edicts of Hitler. Your suggestion that Catholicism describes a faith, not membership in a Church, is patently ludicrous. Do those who you speak for have two faiths then? If not, I would ask which is their faith, Christianity or Catholicism?

Indeed, some people do have families that were persecuted for being members of the Catholic Church, of which mine is one, that is not the isseu here, however. I agree hypocrisy is not funny. Niether is it inconsequential.
