Try to get that close to a Bush event. Good luck.

Kerry makes swing into Michigan
Thousands wait to hear Democrat nominee tout his plan for jobs in Taylor appearance
By George Hunter / The Detroit News
TAYLOR — John Kerry speared a line drive, hit a single and scored with several thousand people who crammed into Heritage Park on Sunday evening for a picnic, politics and softball.
“This is about putting Americans back to work at jobs that pay more than jobs overseas,” Kerry told the largely blue-collar, UAW crowd.
It was the message that they waited — and waited — to hear. Parking spaces at Heritage’s lots were gone hours before Kerry’s “Believe in America” bus convoy arrived around 9 p.m. People who couldn’t drive into the park parked a mile away and hiked back.
Not everyone was there to cheer his presidential candidacy, however;
about 40 of the president’s supporters hoisted pro-Bush signs at the park’s entrance. President Bush gets his next turn in Michigan on Thursday, when he’s scheduled to campaign in Saginaw.
