6. another scenario
If Bozo tries to do that, will the military stand pat and let it happen? I'm looking at the generals who have become more and more outspoken about the effects that Iraq has had on their forces, both in terms of casualties, and in terms of future ability to field effective forces if another crisis explodes.

Could a military coup take place here? Before Bush I would have thought something like that all but impossible. Now, not so much. To have Bozo and the boys openly seize power in this nation might be the last straw for a lot of officers and troopers.

It might sound like a fantasy out of that "Starship Troopers" movie but there are an awful lot of people in uniform who are growing more and more disenchanted with what is going on, and who have access to information (unlike in VIet Nam) about what is happening back home thanks to the internet.

Its hard to maintain illusions of fighting for freedom when the truth is out there for everyone to see. The people in the Armed Forces are NOT stupid, nor are they GOPuke zombies. The day for a man on a white horse may well be approaching, and God only knows what will be the result of that.
