I think elections next year are possible, I wouldn't go so far as to say likely, and I wish I agreed with this guy that the public wouldn't stand for it.

I know there would be a small but very vocal minority who would express disagreement, but the majority of the affluent voting class would shoot their first born in the front yard if the regime said it was the patriotic thing to do.

And whether there are elections or not doesn't affect the non-voting poor minority.
