7. Some DUers think that 90% of the jobs created were part-time

The number I've seen quoted is something like 300,000 of the 308,000 new jobs were part-time jobs. I know there are threads and sources and links out there from Friday/Saturday... I just can't find them at this moment.

Also, 71,000 of the jobs involved may have been the striking California grocery workers who returned to work. The numbers don't completely add up for me, but hell, I'm no damned economist.

All in all, I think the Dems would be wise to just fuggetabout the new jobs report, and instead talk about this fuckin' bullshit mess in Iraq, especially since the issue is front-and-center again, thanks to Richard Clarke. Condi's testifying Thursday, and April is already shaping up to be as bloody a month in the war as March was.

Expect Iraq to be the issue this newsweek. Tomorrow the morning news programs will hit on the 600 dead horrific milestone, while informing Americans how many of their own were killed over the weekend. :-(

edited for clarification
