30. Election Night 2000
I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer (I had a baby at the time) so I went to bed around 9 or 10pm. I woke up at 4am, turned on CNN, and went "uh oh."

Hell, it may have been even earlier, when I first heard that the grinning, kill-happy dauphin was going to run for president. We Texans who keep up with things knew a loooonnnnng time ago what a disaster this boy was. Everything he touches turns to shit, and his daddy and daddy's friends always come along with the shovels. The fertilizer he left in his wake in Texas was bad enough, we sure did hate to see that happen on a nationwide scale. BUT EVERYONE KNOWS THAT WE TEXANS ARE JUST STUPID ASSHOLES, RIGHT? No one would listen.
