say that white suburbanites don't care becasue all the victims are black. Would they care if they were white? I mean more than a sympathetic feeling, maybe. What should they do. It is really hard to get concerned for individuals in an extremely common situation like step-dad killing his family. I mean, it happens all the time. But what to do about it? I'm pretty sure that if you started a fund for them in the white suburbs, they would contribute.

I am not trying to brush this off. It is an extremely serious situation and deserves some attention, but what do you suggest?
