9. Right now broadcasters don't need good rating to make money.
They make money by getting their tax burdens reduced and by getting monopolies.

I hope that when Kerry becomes president, that won't be the case anymore. They'll have to start giving the public what they want, which means they'll have to start getting decent ratings, if they don't want to go off the air and be replaced with something worth watching.

So, yes. CNN's ratings will probably go up in 2005 because a Democrat will provide an environment in which you have to be competitive to make money. Which will be a bing change from what's going on today.
