Talat Othman, is a Chicago investor of Arab descent who represented the interests of Abdullah Taha Bakhsh on the board of directors of Harken Energy.

Othman gained audience with G. W. Bush during the crisis leading up to the Gulf War. The Bush white house denied that the meeting had anything to do with Bakhsh’s investments.

Now, lets take a step in one degree of separation. During the investigations of BCCI, it appeared as if for all intent and purposes Bakhsh was fronting for bin Mahfouz. Salem bin Mahfouz would be seen later by counter terrorism analyst as the owner of one of the key conduits for the growing global terror network.

Now, lets connect one more dot. Footnote in House of Saud, House of Bush, “In 2002, during the presidency of George W. Bush, Othman again won access to the White House and met with Secretary of Treasury Paul O’Neil to discuss the U.S. government raids on Muslim charities that were allegedly funding terror.”

No wonder Bush cut the Treasury’s request for 80 more agents were to be dedicated to finding terrorist funds.
