3. Dress like you're on trial for murder.
Dress like you're going to a job interview. Don't give the major media footage of scruffy kids in cutoffs and t-shirts being abused by the cops. Give them footage of solid citizens dressed like the church every Sunday class being abused by the cops. Yes, it will be sweltering. However, discomfort is worth it if you're making a point.

This is the kind of thing we need to do, folks, to convince the heartland that protestors are just like them.

If you see some creep trying to start trouble, link arms around him and march him over to the police. Tell them you've made a citizen's arrest and describe what he was doing. Make a big deal of it. Don't bother checking for his name on the blotter the following day, they don't prosecure GOP operatives.

We learned these two lessons too late during the 60s and 70s. Please learn them on time now.
