7. I am of the same notion: Bush will reap what he has sown.
Even if Kerry would have won, he would have inherited a weak economy, an immense federal deficit, and a degraded tax base thanks to the tax cuts. (Not to mention all of the things you say above.)

I think Kerry would have turned things around, but I the momentum of everything is such that it would not really show during his term. The only way out of this mess is higher taxes, which appears to be a sure-fire recipe for not being elected...

Under this scenario, a Republican would be well placed to win in 2008 and then benefit from the prosperity generated by Kerry. That would leave Mr. Repug a good shot at two terms and enough time to screw things over again...

The Bush "Economy" will implode in the next term.
Better the implosion on Bush than on Kerry.
