Precocious, independent and hard-headed!! I know where she gets the last trait from, anyway!

My husband is from the Middle East, and so our five-year-old has been exposed to a lot more travel, multi-culturalism, exploration of religion and definitely global politics than most kids her age.

She was riding in the car with my parents recently when something came on NPR about Condoleeza Rice, and my mom said she sat straight up and said, quite proudly, "Condoleeza Rice is a LIAR!"

You see what I mean when I say we don't always succeed in tempering our discussions in her presence. And at this age, they forget NOTHING!
