5. I think that's a bit extreme
I'm confident that some portion of Bush voters gave him his vote for rational reasons--I know this is hard to fathom, but if you look at the 51% Bush got, there's no way all of those could be evangelicals. Many are conservatives or businesspeople who did well by Bush's policies or just agree with laissez-faire economics or love warmongering.

As more chickens come home to roost, we'll see major "Bush fatigue" set in. The cognitive dissonance will be deafening.
