As I did manage to say in another thread, psychologically, the '72 election was MUCH worse. Paul Simon, when explaining why he wrote "American Tune," opined later that it had felt as though liberalism had died.

Don't believe the media hype. Don't let the damn red-state/red-county crap get you down. There are many decent people who had to hold their nose to vote for Bush; we can reach some of them.

And yeah, onenote--it's shaping up to be a gorgeous weekend here in my Red state. Next weekend I'm meeting with some local county Dems. This week, I'm gonna go to the botanical gardens and catch up on some home maintenance stuff.

We're gonna get through this.
