7. Just google Victor Ashe and make up your own mind about the ambassador
to Pole-land.

From the US State Department webpage

Victor Ashe was sworn in as Ambassador to Poland on June 23, 2004.

Previously, Ambassador Ashe served for 16 years as the Mayor of Knoxville, Tennessee. In January 2003, he received the Distinguished Public Service Award of the U.S. Conference of Mayors. This award is the highest honor conveyed by the conference to mayors and other citizens who have had outstanding careers in public service.

Ambassador Ashe served four years on the National Service Corporation Board appointed by President Clinton and he also served on the Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations by appointment of both Presidents Bush and Reagan. Ambassador Ashe is also the past president of the U.S. Conference of Mayors.

Victor Ashe and his wife have two children.
