Your thoughts on Bush's MULTICULTURAL administration?

The repugs I know are hailing *'s recent appointments as evidence that the GOP is the party for advancing minorities while we just play lip service to our "plantation blacks", to use their nomenclature. Couple this superficial appearance with the whole gay marriage non-issue, and I become concerned that they may be making serious inroads to what was once an impenetratable democratic base. Your thoughts?
