But I agree, while there is so much misery in the world, I don't see the point in celebrating two of the most over indulgent holidays of the year. While our troops are away from their families and malnutrition among Iraqi children has doubled since the war of aggression started, I really don't feel too festive.

Do what you like but we will be recognizing the sacrifice and suffering of others by not participating in the retched excesses that usually mark this season. Instead we will be providing for those less fortunate in our own community.
