and actually read the links--although there was a lot of people wondering whether he was a hoax or not or asserting that they "believed" it was a hoax or ""were sure" it was a hoax or "of course" it was a hoax, I couldn't actually find the crucial "hoax exposed passage." The Wired link actually refers to a completely different case. To be fair, a lot of the links were dead. I could have missed something, but Searching is part of my job, so I think I covered the relevant stuff. I invite others to bring me the debunk so I can eat my words.

Along the way I went to a site called "Hoaxmaster" and searched for "John Titor" and got 0 files. Snopes had no matches. Urban Legends mentioned John only in reference to some other similar case.

Oh and I got this from a site for discussion of time travel tech stuff, expecting, at last to find here among geeks, physicists and engineers the debunking of John's story. Evidently the debunking department was missing that day, for those people discussing "Is John Titor a Hoax" were all convinced that John was exactly what he said he was, a military time traveler from 2036. One goes into great detail about John's physics in light of actual cutting-edge research.

I never heard of this JT thing before today, and I must say I find it fascinating.

And truly creepy. Gotta go get some water purification tabs ASAP.
