I see bigotry and prejudice as endemic of dislike (possibly ignorance) more than a sense of inferiority.

I think there is a difference between 'I don't like you because you are different from me' and 'you are not as good as me and you never can be'. These two can and often do co-exist but are seperate in my mind.
