On this Christian board I go on sometimes political issues pop up. I'm the "bleeding heart liberal" on there even though we share the same faith. Gay marriage is on this board at least in two different threads. I asked what purpose would it be not to have gay marriage WITHOUT using the Bible because not everybody believes like they do. Some people said how they had to follow God before man and things like that. One person did make a statement without using the Bible but then I brought up Canada since they have gay marriage rights and have yet to hear from the person. I'll have to check later this evening. If the parent you're talking about Maestro doesn't like public school why doesn't she go to a private Christian school? We have one around here that basically 80-95% of all the kids at my church attend. Anybody can go there and they take both regular classes like a public school but also are required to take Biblical classes. There's also private education and homeschooling. You should've asked her why her kid was in public school. This one board I used to go on this one right-winger HATED public school and was bragging about how she was so glad she never went to it. I took that as an insult because of how I've gone to public education my whole schooling life (I go to a community college now) and majority of my friends in school were all very brilliant in their studies and how one of my friends is even now doing engineering and is going to a well known school in Alabama.
