although not in this case. I am very aware of the contradictions and inconsistencies in the Bible. As a Christian (and unfortunately I say that with less and less fervor everyday), I only see the Bible as a book of allegory and metaphor. Many of the stories such as Noah are strikingly similar to ancient Babylonian stories in fact. Anyhow, in the situation that happened today I could not do that. Not the time or the place. I did suggest homeschooling if we(the public school) cannot provide what she wants.
