9. 98-2 vote on Chertoff...
That one was REALLY disgusting to me. I'm fed up with these wimpy spineless Democrats. Every one of these votes ought to be 55-45. Two years ago I watched the TV debate between the Senate candidates here in Missouri. I voted for the Democratic incumbent Jean Carnahan, but during that debate I was wishing SO bad that I could vote for the Green candidate. He was more like a Democrat than almost any Democratic Party officeholder you ever hear of. He was like a member of the Democratic wing of the Democratic Party. I liked EVERYTHING the man said, while Carnahan sounded just like a Republican-lite Democrat. The next time somebody like that runs for any office, I don't care if there is NO chance that he will win, I'm voting for him anyway. These Democrats are driving their base away with their appeasement and capitulation and surrender to Republicans, I tell you. They're on the verge of losing me now. Any more almost the only reason I vote for the Democrat is just to keep the Republican out of office. But that isn't working anyway because now, even though I live in a state that is almost evenly divided, my president, vice president, governor, congressman and both senators are Republicans. And they're all just as bad as Bush. So if my vote is not succeeding in keeping Republicans out of office ANYWAY, why shouldn't I just go ahead and vote for the candidate I REALLY want to vote for? But I SO wish that candidate would start always being the DEMOCRAT...
