16. Welome to DU, free_spirit82 ! how's things up there on the AFB?

I have some real good friends who run a bed-and-breakfast in North Pole...

Gerry and I grew up as next door neighbors in Detroit. When the BIG SUCKING SOUND came, Gerry was drafted for Vietnam, eventually ending up at Ft. Wainwright, near you....eventually, he finished his military tour of duty and became a Army Civilian on the base...now he's retired....he kicked his 19 year-old kid off the couch and OUT OF THE HOUSE a couple of years ago....
