Fellow Missourians - Write your legislators! [View All]

I'm sure I'm not the only one who is sick of this arrogant batch of legislators. For those of you that don't know, Missouri's legislature was overtaken by a bunch of blow-hard freshman Republicans who are looking to turn Missouri into their ideological battleground.

They've caused funding for schools and other social services to be cut, and just last week they make an unpredecented THREE VETO OVERRIDES in one week. The two major ones striking down a ban on concealed weapons and the other striking down a ban on mandatory waiting periods for abortions. Ironically, just in 1999, a majority of Missourians voted DOWN a measure to allowed concealed weapons. Yet the Republicans (along with a fair number of Dems, unfortunately) have reversed the will of the people.

I have written both my representative and senator and expressed my disgust at their actions. Please do the same if you haven't already. We've got to kick these guys out of office, or at least tame their actions while they're in office.
